2010 was a great year for the Ving Tsun Gung Fu Institute!!!!
This year we have experienced quite a bit of growth having classes with up to 16 students at time which is great!!! Wing Chun has really exploded and thanks to the many students who have committed themselves to learning this art!!!
I have been pretty busy teaching and training so I haven’t had much time for blogging and keeping up with events, but one thing that I am not ashamed to say is that training takes priority with us.
This year we were able to get Sifu Matt Johnson down 3 times for 2 different seminars and some private chi sau training. I was also able to make a trip to Chicago for Sifu Matt’s birthday and got to meet my kung fu brothers and sisters from up there including Chris Kellner and his students from Iowa!!!
Hopefully I will be able to keep up this blog more in 2011 with more training tips and such. I have a few students leaving for school who wish to continue their training and I hope I can provides some ways for them to do that through this media. Also, if you are not aware of our YouTube channel, be sure and search RGV Wing Chun on Youtube and you can see a little bit of what we are up to.
