Revisiting an old video

Sifu Matt Johnson (www.mjwingchun.org), a student of Grandmaster Ip Ching will be visiting the Rio Grande Valley to hold a Wing Chun seminar covering Siu Lim Tao and Chi Sao on Saturday August 15th
Sifu Matt Johnson has been studying Wing Chun since 1990. He first met Ip Ching in 1995 in a seminar in Chicago, he has been hooked on his wing chun ever since and has taken many private lessons with him in the states and abroad. He has travelled to china many times and has even been on stage at the Ving Tsun World Conference in 2005 and participated in demos at the opening of the Ip Man Tong. He has been a demonstration partner of Grandmaster Ip Ching in private seminars. In 2008, he was formally accepted as a student of Grandmaster Ip Ching and is a certified instructor under Ip Ching through Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong. It is his personal goal to spread Wing Chun as taught through Grandmaster Ip Ching.
Price for the seminar is $100 if you reserve your spot before July 25th, and $125 after July 26th. Seminar will be held at Pump Gym in McAllen, TX located at 5305 N. 23rd St. Mcallen,Tx, 78504.

Wing Chun fellowship BBQ

Happy 4th of July to everybody!!! Remember our troops who still fight for us and our independence and freedom from the tryanny of those who would seek to enslave us to their worldview and religion. God bless all you guys!! Marcos!! We luv ya bruddah!! Come back to us in one piece!!!
Tonight we are having a BBQ to get to know all our Wing Chun family as that is important for us. It was not uncommon for Grandmaster Ip Man to engage in fellowship with his students unlike the “McDojos” whose instructors are so high and mighty and above their students…we are all students of Wing Chun, just at different levels. What we have planned for the night is good BBQ which will include Sirloin Fajitas, Ribs, Sausages, Jalapeno Bombers, possibly some Rib Eye Steak, “adult beverages”, some chips and salsa, kung fu movies and PLENTY OF CHI SAU!!!!
All members and family of the Ving Tsun Gung Fu Institute along with their family are welcomed to attend as we have some business to discuss including membership into the Ving Tsun Ip Ching Athletic Association!!! This is huge news!!! We are also going to be discussing dates and finances to bring Sifu Matt Johnson back down for training as he has recently returned from China from training for 2 straight weeks with his Sifu, Ip Ching!!
